This 1956 Silver Cloud is used as a courtesy car for a local inn. They also have a white, unlettered one that they keep garaged and only pull out for weddings and such. Two more pics inside.

Please excuse the overexposed cell phone pictures. I've been trying to get some decent pictures of this car for ages. Either it'll be under a cover, I'll be unable to park near it, or I won't have my real camera with me. I finally gave in and settled for these.

What does 'courtesy car' mean in Americanglish? Does it mean a car they pick guests up in, round your way? In English it means a car they give you to drive, which would be fun, if completely insane.

It's like a chauffeur, or a personal shuttle bus. Paying patrons can call and get rides to and from places and events. This is taken from the inn's website; "We also have a 1956 Rolls Royce Courtesy Car for transportation to or from the airport, to your favorite beach, to dinner, or just for a ride around town!"

It would be so much more fun with the English meaning. Which makes me wonder whether there are any hotels where the rooms come with classic cars.

If you own an oil empire, I'm sure there are.
